Braemar Lodge Hotel & Chalets has been operated by the same owners since 1996.

A COUNTRY house hotel and self-catering business in Royal Deeside is for sale after 23 years under the same ownership.

Braemar Lodge Hotel & Chalets, in the village of Braemar, comprises a hotel, 12-berth bunkhouse and an additional nine self-catering lodge chalets in the grounds.

Housed within a former Victorian shooting lodge dating from the 1870s, the hotel contains seven en suite letting bedrooms, a lounge bar and dining room and restaurant split over two areas.

The sale offers purchasers a wonderful opportunity to take over a multi-faceted and established business.

Operators Ronnie and Fiona Moore, who have owned and developed the business since 1996, are selling up in order to retire.

Braemar is said to be “one of the busiest” towns in Royal Deeside, with the hotel said to benefit from an influx of visitors in both the summer and winter seasons.

Alistair Letham, a director at Colliers International, which is marketing the Braemar Lodge Hotel & Chalets, said: “The business has established an excellent reputation and, as a result, attracts high volumes of repeat custom.

“The current owners’ decision to retire and sell Braemar Lodge Hotel offers potential purchasers a wonderful opportunity to take over a multi-faceted and established business in a popular Highland location.”

Offers in the region of £1.2 million are sought for Braemar Lodge Hotel & Chalets.
