New operator motors way to Angus hotel

The hotel has a coffee shop and bar

A NEW owner is at the helm of a former 18th century coaching inn in Angus.

The Finavon Hotel, in the hamlet of Milton of Finavon, occupies a roadside location off the busy A90 which links Dundee and Aberdeen, and had been owned by the same family for two decades.

The property comprises nine en suite rooms, coffee shop and lounge bar as well as “extensive” function facilities.

Graeme Smith, director of Smith & Clough, which handled the sale, said: “The sale of this fine hotel after being under the same family ownership for over 20 years offers the new owner an excellent opportunity to take advantage of its location, layout and potential by increasing on what is an already well-established business.”

The hotel was sold from a guide price of offers in the region of £395,000.
