Chance to build bridges

The hotel has a newly-created covered outdoor seating area.

A NEW owner is being sought for a country house hotel in south west Scotland which has been under the same family ownership for 16 years.

Located in the village of Minnigaff across the River Cree from Newton Stewart, Creebridge House Hotel is said to be “presented to the highest standard”.

The property comprises 18 en suite letting rooms, the 120-cover Garden Restaurant, which has direct access to the hotel’s gardens and is used for weddings and functions, Bridges Bar, Bridges Brasserie and a drawing room.

Outside, the three-acre grounds include a newly-created covered bar area with clay pizza oven/grill and servery, seating for around 100, and a children’s play area.

Graeme Smith, director at Smith & Clough, which is marketing the property at offers in the region of £850,000, said: “Having sold the business to our clients in 2006, I was delighted to act on their behalf in the sale. This is a fantastic opportunity for a discerning purchaser to get into this market and acquire a very well-established country house hotel that has built up a strong reputation over the years.”
