A NEW fund to promote the scenery, wildlife and culture of the Highlands and Islands has opened for applications.
The £5 million Natural and Cultural Heritage Fund, which is led by public body Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH), will invest in ten major new projects which are deemed to improve the experience of visitors to the region. As well as promoting the nature and culture of the area, the investment aims to create and support jobs and help communities sustain local services.
