Deltic is launching an app for its clubs

THE firm behind the Atik nightclubs in Aberdeen and Edinburgh is set to launch a new app for customers in a bid to increase loyalty and sales.

Deltic Group, which operates 55 late night bars and clubs across the UK, has partnered with data technology firm Corethree to create mobile apps for each of its venue brands, allowing it to offer tailored promotions that customers can access from their mobiles.

The apps will also allow the group to provide a mobile ticketing system, enabling remote ticket purchase and faster entry to its venues, while outlet efficiency will be improved with better ID control from smart digital tickets. Users’ digital activity relating to Deltic’s brands will also be captured via the apps and used to underpin marketing initiatives.

Tim Howard, Deltic’s marketing director, said the mobile apps will add to the group’s existing personalised marketing activity.

“Mobile marketing is a valuable channel for connecting to our customers in a direct yet more personalised way,” he said.

“We needed to partner with a mobile technology provider that would not only deliver bespoke apps for every brand, but more importantly provide a powerful back-end infrastructure to help us deliver the best customer engagement across our brand portfolio.

“Our Corethree-developed apps will be underpinned by established technology capable of tying each customer and their preferences back to our individual brands and their venues, helping Deltic to become a more granular data-driven business.”
