Sky is the limit for diner group

The Glasgow unit was formerly Arisaig

A NEW taste of America has come to Glasgow’s Merchant Square after the team behind diner franchise Monterey Jack’s secured the leasehold to the former Sky Lounge and Sky Bar unit.

The 150-cover Merchant City venue brings the US-themed restaurant firm’s number of outlets in Scotland to seven.

The 3900 sq ft property is spread over two floors, including a large balcony on the first floor, both of which are open to the main indoor courtyard, and there is a dedicated commercial kitchen on each floor.

The new outlet, which once traded as Scottish restaurant Arisaig, opened last month.

The unit had been on the market for a proposed rental of £70,000 per annum and was marketed by property firm CDLH.
