National tourism body revamps website for businesses

VisitScotland is providing firms with advice

HOSPITALITY businesses across Scotland will be able to take advantage of increased online tourism resources after VisitScotland relaunched its industry-facing website.

VisitScotland.org provides advice and resources to help operators market their businesses as well as information on how to register with VisitScotland initiatives such as the organisation’s Quality Assurance programme. Information includes regional factsheets offering insight into visitors’ experiences in different parts of Scotland, as well as details of industry events around the country.

Riddell Graham, the tourism body’s director of industry and destination development, said: “The number of tourism businesses who engage with VisitScotland online has increased in recent years, reflecting the growing demand for digital information.

“The new website has been designed with the tourism industry at its heart to provide a collaborative, informative and interactive platform to engage with the national tourism organisation.

“A one-stop shop for all businesses and corporate stakeholders to access VisitScotland’s marketing products, up-to-the minute advice and support, VisitScotland.org will focus on helping the industry achieve growth and improve quality across every point of the customer journey.”
