Who will drop anchor in Tarbert?

Struan House has six letting bedrooms

A FAMILY-operated B&B is for sale for the first time in over a decade.

Struan House, in Tarbert, Argyll, has been owned and operated as a B&B by the same family for the past 11 years; and from 2010 to 2016 the owners also operated the breakfast/dining room as a bistro, which traded as Scott’s.

Therefore, there is said to be potential for a new owner to re-establish the food side of the business and run it in tandem with the B&B.

Built in 1846 and set across three floors, the property comprises six letting rooms, dining room, reception area and a fully-fitted commercial kitchen.

An owner’s apartment is also available to be sold separately.

Graeme Smith of Smith & Clough, which is marketing the B&B for offers in the region of £395,000, said the business offers “an exciting opportunity for a family/chef owner” and has “the potential to trade solely as a B&B, guest house or as a boutique hotel with a small bistro”.
