Who will lodge a bid for Argyll hotel?

The property is over 100 years old

A HOTEL on one of the west of Scotland’s main tourist routes has come onto the books of property agent Smith & Clough.

Located in the village of Dalmally, overlooking the main A85 Oban to Tyndrum route, the Glenorchy Lodge Hotel is said to enjoy strong year-round trade from both tourist and commercial business.

Built over 100 years ago as a hunting lodge, the property has, over time, been developed and extended to comprise six en suite rooms, a restaurant and lounge bar, a public bar and a breakfast room; there’s also one-bedroom owner’s accommodation and a separate one-bedroom staff flat.

Graeme Smith of Smith & Clough, which is inviting offers for the freehold, said the hotel is a “fine example of a lifestyle business, presented extremely well both internally and externally”.
