LADIES from across Scotland’s licensed trade pulled out all the stops to raise £4500 at The Ben’s Fashion and Fizz event.
The event, held at Glasgow’s Oran Mor on Thursday May 11, included dinner and Champagne, and a variety of performances before the fashion show and auction of dresses to raise funds for The Ben, which offers social, financial and emotional support to former and current members of the trade who are facing difficulties.
Commenting on the event, Chris Gardner, chief executive of The Ben, said: “The Fashion and Fizz event was a great success and a big thank you to all guests for their support and generosity in helping us raise this fantastic total. Thanks also to those who donated dresses for the occasion.
“This is the second year we’ve held Fashion and Fizz; we’re looking forward to making it a permanent feature in our busy events calendar.”
