Buzzworks goes east

AYRSHIRE multiple operator Buzzworks Holdings is set to open its first restaurant in the east of Scotland.

The group has announced that it will bring its flagship restaurant brand, Scotts, to Port Edgar Marina in South Queensferry, near Edinburgh, which is currently under redevelopment.

The restaurant is expected to open at the marina before the end of 2017 after an extensive fit out.

The new venue will be the group’s third Scotts restaurant, joining Scotts of Troon and Largs. And it will complement the group’s eight other venues, which include Elliots in Prestwick, Lido venues in Prestwick and Troon, The Treehouse in Ayr, The Longhouse in Kilmarnock, The Mill House in Stewarton, The Corner House in Kilwinning, and newest venue The Coach House in Bridge of Weir, which is due to open this summer.

Kenny Blair, Buzzworks Holdings MD, said the new restaurant “is another ambitious step forward in our continued growth strategy as we branch out from the west of Scotland”.

“Buzzworks prides itself on the delicious food, serious cocktails and superb service we provide to customers, so it’s an exciting time for the business as we extend our portfolio to the east coast and take Scotts to South Queensferry,” said Blair.

“We can’t wait to begin fitting out the property.”

Buzzworks is headed up by siblings Kenny, Colin and Alison Blair, who jointly won the SLTN Industry Achievement Award in 2016.
