Scots brewers among those announced for Argyll craft beer fest
A raft of Scotland’s craft breweries will showcase their products at Fyne Ales’ annual beer festival this summer.
FyneFest will take place at the Argyll brewery from June 2 to 4 and will feature over 160 beers from more than 35 breweries across the UK and Europe.
Set to represent Scotland alongside Fyne Ales is Aberdeen-based Fierce Beer and Edinburgh’s Pilot brewery, as well as newcomers such as Edinburgh-based Campervan Brewery, and Out of Town Brewing and Up Front Brewing, which are both based in Glasgow.
The Scottish breweries will be joined by producers from across the UK, including Manchester’s Cloudwater Brew Co; Magic Rock Brewing, which is based in Huddersfield; London’s Beavertown Brewery; the Wild Beer Co from Somerset; Berkshire-based Siren Craft Brew; and Cornwall’s Verdant and Cheltenham’s Deya breweries, which will make their debut at the festival.
FyneFest will also include Brewers Panels, which will see representatives from some of the UK’s leading breweries discuss a range of beer-related topics and answer questions from attendees; the New Brewery Showcase, where a selection of new brewers will discuss their experiences in setting up their businesses; a host of different bars, including the 40-tap main bar; a full live music programme; and the annual FyneFest Festival Quiz.
Fyne Ales managing director Jamie Delap said additional brewery announcements are expected soon.
“While we’re proud of the fact that FyneFest brings together elements of music festivals and food festivals, beer is the star of the show for the majority of festival-goers,” he said.
