A BANCHORY hotel is under new management after the team behind a local village inn took the reins.
Former Scottish Chef of the Year David Littlewood and his business partner and brother-in-law Nigel Hake, who run the Kildrummy Inn in Alford, acquired the Tor Na Coille hotel in Banchory under long-term lease.
The pair, who operate the business with their wives Sophie and Helen, plan to develop the food and drink offer at the Tor Na Coille, including reinstating the original dining room for “casual fine-dining” to complement the bar/lounge menu.
“Nigel and I have proven that our combination of culinary skills, industry experience and business acumen works in taking a rural inn and making it a foodie destination with an excellent reputation for quality,” said David.
We believe that we have developed the blueprint for how we will operate the Tor Na Coille, whilst ensuring the continued success of the Kildrummy Inn.”
