Student chefs from Ayrshire College and Glasgow Clyde College are set to do battle with fellow students from colleges south of the border in the final of the Country Range Student Chef Challenge.
Taking place at ScotHot, the contest will see teams from the two Scottish colleges go up against student chefs from Blackpool & Fylde College, City College Norwich, City of Liverpool College, Henley College, Hopwood Hall College and Loughborough College on March 15 in the event’s Live Theatre.
As well as the Student Chef Challenge title, the winning team will also get the opportunity to work with the Craft Guild of Chefs’ culinary team in catering for over 1000 guests at the Craft Guild of Chefs Annual Awards 2017.
Craft Guild of Chefs’ head judge Chris Basten said: “The semi-finals have provided some amazing dishes so it’s a credit to all the teams and their colleges’ catering departments. There is not a lot to choose between the finalists so it’s set to be a fantastic cook-off.”
