TENNENT’S has reached a major milestone with its new lager font, installing the 1000th at Ayr’s Tam O’Shanter Inn.
The new-look font, which was unveiled last summer and marked the first redesign of the Tennent’s Lager font in over eight years, is “fully customisable”, with operators able to choose from a range of sleeves featuring iconic Tennent’s artwork.
David Cowan (pictured), owner of the Tam O’Shanter Inn, said the font has been a “real talking point” in the pub.
“We’ve definitely noticed an increase in pints of Tennent’s Lager being sold since receiving it which has been a huge benefit to the business,” he said.
The roll-out of the new font is ongoing and Tennent’s expects to have 8300 fonts in pubs, clubs and restaurants across Scotland by the end of the year.
