New look for Aberdeen pub

AN Aberdeen pub has been relaunched following a refurbishment ahead of its eighth anniversary.

• McGinty’s has been revamped, with features including a new gantry.

Located on Union Street, McGinty’s Meal An’ Ale has been given a “signature Scottish interior” with features including whisky barrels on the walls of the entrance and a new back-lit gantry displaying the range of more than 100 Scottish gins, whiskies and rums.
Operations director of McGinty’s, Alan Aitken, said: “McGinty’s continues to be a much-loved venue in the city and, over the years, we have built up a strong reputation as a place to enjoy good food and drinks. However, as we approached our eighth year in business we felt it was time to reinvest.
“Aberdeen is facing a difficult time right now so it was vital that we made changes to maximise the potential of our venue and also update our offering to meet our customer expectations and the changing drink trends.”
