Storming the parliament

Hospitality students headed to Holyrood to flex their culinary muscles by taking over the Members’ Restaurant of the Scottish Parliament.
A group of 15 students from New College Lanarkshire designed, prepared and served a three-course meal to politicians and guests.
The students in attendance were drawn from courses including Professional Cookery Diploma Level 1, HNC Professional Cookery, and Food and Beverage Service with Barista Skills.
Student Kirsty Izatt said cooking at the parliament was a “fantastic experience”.
“It has given me great confidence and I hope this will help me to further my career in a professional kitchen,” said Izatt.
