Alan Hampton, owner of 10 Café Bar in the Angus town, took the headline prize to go towards an outlet refurbishment.  Dozens of other prizes, including football tickets to some of this season’s biggest games, were also up for grabs at the trade show.
Hampton said he is “absolutely thrilled” to have won the top prize.
“The money will allow me to enhance my bar for my customers and I can’t thank Tennent’s enough,” he said.
Tennent’s said its 2016 trade shows, which were held at Hampden Park in Glasgow and Edinburgh’s BT Murrayfield Stadium, attracted a record number of visitors. More than 400 licensees are said to have attended across the two days, with numbers at the Edinburgh event said to be up 40%.
Alan Hay, on-trade sales director at Tennent’s, said: “We’re delighted that the 2016 events were the best yet, I would like to say thank you to our customers and suppliers for their support.”
