A FORMER G1 Group pub has been sold to a new owner for an undisclosed sum.
The Village Inn in Cambuslang was sold on behalf of G1 Group by property firm Cornerstone Business Agents. The property was acquired by a London businessman with family in Glasgow.
Barry McNeil of Cornerstone said the new owner has “exciting plans for development of the property and the business”.
Speaking about the wider market, McNeil said demand for pubs across the central belt “remains strong”. “There is buyer demand in closed pub assets that have attractive alternative use as well as genuine demand from purchasers who are still keen to acquire well-sited pubs that have the ability to perform profitably under independent ownership,” he said.
