THE Loch Long Hotel in Argyllshire has changed hands after 37 years under the same ownership.
Owned by coach tour operator Lochs & Glens Holidays since 1979, the hotel is said to have been upgraded and refurbished at various points over the years.
The hotel benefits from views across Loch Long.
Located in the village of Arrochar, the 82-bedroom hotel occupies an elevated position offering panoramic views across Loch Long towards the Cobbler and the Arrochar Alps.
Public areas in the property include a bar, restaurant and function room.
The hotel was sold on behalf of its owner by Smith & Clough Business Associates, and is said to have generated interest from across the UK.
Following an open sales process and a “fairly short period of marketing”, the hotel was purchased by its new owners.
Graeme Smith of Smith & Clough said: “The new owners plan on opening the hotel completely to the public/tourists, taking advantage of the passing trade along the busy A83.
“They have also brought in an award-winning chef to push the food side of the business and help establish the hotel, not just locally but in the surrounding areas, as a privately run operation which will also host functions and weddings and be a benefit to the local community.”
