Opportunity to grow beachside restaurant on Arran

Coast

OPERATORS looking for an island restaurant may be keen to view Coast on the Isle of Arran.

Located within the village of Whiting Bay, eight miles from Brodick, the outlet is said to enjoy “fabulous views” over Whiting Bay, The Holy Isle and the Firth of Clyde.

Described as being designed and fitted to a high standard, the venue can accommodate 40 diners, across both its main building and conservatory, which overlooks the beach and sea.

A decked seating area, accessed from the conservatory, can provide an additional 20 covers for al fresco dining.

The restaurant is said to have a “good regular customer base”, which is supplemented by an increasing number of tourists to the island.

At present, Coast’s food offering incorporates quality locally-sourced and Scottish produce alongside an “extensive” drinks selection.

Jonathan Clough, director at Smith & Clough Business Associates, which is marketing the business, said: “The sale of Coast offers not only a superb lifestyle opportunity, given the breathtaking beachside location on the Isle of Arran, but also a fantastic business opportunity.”

“The business would ideally suit an owner operator, a couple or a family, and anyone relocating to Arran will find an island that offers a wonderful way of life and a wide array of amenities, including many shops, restaurants, bars and hotels, both primary and secondary schooling and no fewer than seven golf courses.”

The freehold of the property is on the market with an asking price of offers over ÂŁ175,000.
