MAXXIUM UK will spend a claimed £2 million promoting whisky brand The Famous Grouse ahead of Christmas.
The investment, which Maxxium said is the biggest pre-Christmas spend in the brand’s history, sees the launch of two new television adverts, which stress the whisky’s ‘perfectly balanced’ and ‘smooth’ characteristics, as well as poster advertising across the country.
The first TV advert was broadcast this month, with the second due to hit screens in November. Both new ads feature the traditional grouse character, but in a break with former Christmas campaigns, he now appears in a Highland setting.
“Christmas is always a key season for The Famous Grouse but this year will be even bigger and better,” said Famous Grouse marketing controller Johna Penman.
“We’ve invested a significant amount in this festive season and it’ll be the first time we’ve run two new adverts for The Famous Grouse in rotation.
“The new campaign heroes our much loved icon who can now be seen enjoying life in his natural habitat whilst retaining his playful sense of humour.”
