A Limited edition seasonal variant of cream liqueur Baileys has been launched for autumn.
Baileys Pumpkin Spice is described as a blend of Baileys Original Irish Cream with the flavour of autumn spices such as cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. The launch of the new seasonal variant will be backed by a marketing campaign, including social media and sampling activity.
Brand owner Diageo said as seasonal events like Halloween continue to grow in popularity, consumer demand for food and drinks with a seasonal flavour is increasing.
“We have created a seasonal twist on Baileys by combining the luxurious taste of Baileys Original Irish Cream with the flavour of autumnal spices,” said Marina Thompson, Baileys Europe brand manager at Diageo.
“There’s also a growing trend towards the coffee cocktail, presenting outlets with a huge opportunity to drive incremental sales and cash margin. The coffee category is currently in growth, with 70 million cups of coffee being drunk in the UK every day. Licensees can tap into this by serving a Baileys Pumpkin Spice latte.”
