Loch Ness Spirits took to the water last month to launch the company’s first product, the ‘Real and Rare’ Loch Ness Gin. The small-batch gin is created using botanicals found on the shores of Loch Ness. It was launched on a cruise of the loch by directors Lorien and Kevin Cameron-Ross.
Lorien Cameron-Ross said that “a joke about making our own gin developed into a dream and has now become a reality”.
“It has been a steep learning curve and we have worked extremely hard to hand pick the juniper and other botanicals, but we have made it, and are desperately proud of the result,” she said.
There were only 500 bottles in the first batch of the gin, with the second batch numbering 400 bottles.
