Ad campaign for Scottish bars launched

A MAJOR new advertising campaign to encourage consumers to support their local pubs and clubs has been launched.
Trade group the Scottish Licensed Trade Association (SLTA) is behind the #PUBLOVE activity: a series of ads showing various scenarios in pubs and clubs – from first dates to football – which will run across 16 digital billboards in Glasgow and Edinburgh during September and October, and again in January and February next year.
SLTA chief executive Paul Waterson said the activity is designed to “get people back into pubs and bars and support the industry”.
“Our premises continue to be at the centre of the Scottish social scene and are a real selling point for tourism,” he said.
“Everyone loves our pubs, bars and nightclubs but we need to do more to support our industry and get the message across loud and clear that they are part of our communities and a key contributor to local economies the length and breadth of Scotland.”
