Hotel on the road to Islay is on the market

A ROADSIDE hotel on one of the main routes to Islay has come onto the books of Colliers International.

West Loch Hotel (Tarbert)
The West Loch Hotel in Tarbet, Argyll, is located on the A83 and close to the Islay ferry terminal.

This represents an outstanding opportunity for family hoteliers.

The venue, which is being marketed by Colliers as a “proper lifestyle business”, comprises eight letting rooms as well as a bar, restaurant and lounge facilities.
The sale of the West Loch Hotel includes a two-bedroom flat, which the selling agent said would suit resident owners.
Alistair Letham, a director in the UK hotels agency team at Colliers International, said the sale of the lochside property “provides an outstanding opportunity for new family hoteliers, whether first timers or experienced, to acquire an established, well known and profitable business in one of Scotland’s most beautiful locations.
“The present owners purchased the West Loch in 2011 and have invested continuously in the property, adding greatly to its charm and comfort,” said Letham. “They now wish to move on to a larger business, offering prospective purchasers the chance to acquire a hotel that has received a great deal of TLC to make it what it is today.”
Colliers International is inviting offers around £500,000 for the West Loch Hotel.
