Grapevine was unveiled by owners Will Hageland and Trond Dalby at a special cocktail party, attended by VisitScotland’s director of partnerships Riddell Graham. Guests at the launch event were served special gin cocktails created in honour of the Borders Railway – which links the Borders and Edinburgh; passenger numbers on the new rail route, which opened last September, are said to have exceeded original estimates by almost a quarter in the first six months, according to new figures.
Speaking at the Grapevine launch, Riddell Graham said: “Will and Trond are to be congratulated for taking the leap of faith with their new venture, which will provide a fantastic new facility to be enjoyed by visitors arriving in the town by train and local people.”
