A seafaring whisky business has found a new home on the River Clyde – moored next to one of the city’s biggest naval attractions, the Tall Ship.
The Murray McDavid whisky boat has been rejuvenated to give it a new lease of life on the river.
The 60ft traditional wooden boat, which is owned by whisky bottler Murray McDavid’s parent firm Aceo Limited, has been designed to function as a day to day office with facilities to bring guests aboard for whisky tasting events throughout the year.
During the summer months, the Murray McDavid whisky boat will take sailing trips to the whisky islands and participate in whisky festivals and cultural events.
The whisky boat will also be available for corporate events, bespoke tastings and private bookings.
Murray McDavid is a whisky bottling firm offering a range of Scotch from vintage single malts and grains through to vatted malts and crafted blends. The Murray McDavid core range of whiskies comprises six bottlings: Mission Gold, Benchmark, Mystery Malt, Select Grain, The Vatting and Crafted Blend.
The firm is based at Coleburn Distillery, Speyside.
