Revamped Rockport on the market

A recently-refurbished business in Oban has come onto the market through property firm Seymour & Clink.

The Rockport Hotel was acquired by the vendor in 2014 and has subsequently undergone an extensive refurbishment, with all public areas redecorated.
The hotel comprises eight en suite letting rooms, a public bar and a restaurant – known as The Boathouse – which is located in a rear extension and is said to have a “modern look with exposed timber vaulted ceiling”.
“Although the business has only been trading again for ten months, early signs are that the hotel has a lot of potential,” said Seymour & Clink.
“Our client wishes to emigrate and now that the hotel is in excellent condition they would like to lease the premises or sell them. They would be willing to lease with an option to purchase to allow the tenant time to build up a trading history to help find the finance for an outright sale.”
A premium of £60,000 is sought for the leasehold interest or offers in the region of £395,000 are sought for the heritable interest.
