A new ‘retro’ juice has been added to the Bottlegreen range, and launched exclusively to the foodservice and on-trade sectors.
Available in 275ml bottles, the new raspberry lemonade sparkling pressé drink is described as a blend of raspberries and “tart juice from zesty lemons” which are said to make a “perfectly refreshing soft drink”.
The drink is said to contain no artificial colours, flavours, sweeteners or preservatives.
SHS Drinks, the firm behind Bottlegreen, said the ‘perfect serve’ for the new drink is over ice and garnished with a wedge of lemon, fresh raspberries and mint.
Amanda Grabham of SHS Drinks said there is growing interest in “retro” flavours within the adult soft drinks category.
“With increasing numbers of soft drinks consumers trading up to premium brands with more sophisticated flavours, adult soft drinks represents one of the biggest growth opportunities in the soft drinks category,” said Grabham.
“The latest data shows that last year on-trade volume sales of adult soft drinks grew by 18% and value sales were up by 26%, bringing the value of the [adult soft drinks] category to £448 million.”
