Whyte & Mackay has bolstered its brandy and sherry portfolio through a new deal with the firm behind Spanish brandy and sherry business Fundador.
As part of the agreement, Whyte & Mackay will distribute Spanish brandy Fundador and British sherry brand Harveys as well as Terry and Tres Cepas brandies.
Nick Garland, chief commercial officer at Whyte & Mackay, said the firm is “pleased to be welcoming the UK’s leading sherry brand Harveys into our portfolio”.
“It has a great history and heritage and this, coupled with its outstanding product quality, ensures that it will perfectly complement our multi-award-winning brand set,” said Garland.
Mark Riley, managing director of Maxxium UK, which previously distributed Harveys and Fundador in the UK, said he is “proud of the successes” Maxxium has achieved with the brands. Riley said the new deal “allows us to focus resources on our leading global whiskies, Cognac and vodka brands”.
