Fizzy new heights for SSE Hydro after AG Barr deal
AG BARR has been announced as the official soft drink partner of the SSE Hydro in Glasgow.
The five-year deal will see AG Barr’s full range of drinks, including Irn-Bru, Strathmore Water, Rockstar, Rubicon and the Barr range, stocked in the Hydro itself as well as across the SECC campus.
To mark the deal the Clyde skyline was lit up in the Irn-Bru colours of blue and orange, with a can of Irn-Bru projected onto the side of the Glasgow Armadillo building.
Adrian Troy, head of UK marketing at AG Barr, said the Clyde skyline projection was the perfect fit to celebrate the new partnership.

“This is a partnership between two great Scottish brands so it felt right to mark it in a bold, very Irn-Bru style with this unique projection.
“Visitors to the SSE Hydro will now be able to toast their favourite artists, performers and sports stars with a
Bru – or indeed with another of the wide variety of Barr’s drinks on offer too.”
And Fiona Crichton, head of partnerships, SECC and the SSE Hydro, said the venue was “delighted to welcome AG Barr and particularly their iconic brand Irn-Bru as our official soft drink partner”.
“This brand has a well-loved heritage across Scotland and beyond and aligns perfectly with the variety of live entertainment events that take place at the SSE Hydro and across the wider SECC Campus,” said Crichton.
