The firm behind McEwan’s is planning a number of events and giveaways this year to celebrate the 160th anniversary of the brand.
The first pint of McEwan’s is said to have been brewed by William McEwan in 1856. The brand is now owned by Charles Wells.
Promotional activity in 2016 will include a giveaway where McEwan’s Export drinkers can win a limited edition 160th anniversary pint glass.
There will be further celebrations at the McEwan’s Party at the Palace music festival in Linlithgow in August; and a birthday celebration in Edinburgh, the original home of McEwan’s, later in the year.
