A family has taken the next step on the road to building its own whisky distillery on Islay.
Stewart Laing and his sons Andrew and Scott, of Hunter Laing & Co, have submitted an application to Argyll and Bute Council to build a new malt whisky distillery on the north east coast of the island.
Pending approval, ground breaking on the £8 million project is scheduled for May of this year.
