The firm behind Irn-Bru is bringing back its famous ‘Snowman’ advert in time for Christmas.
AG Barr has announced that the advertisement will return to screens from December 1, and this year it will be backed by a “high-impact” media campaign incorporating public relations, digital and social media activity.
The soft drinks firm also unveiled plans to release a new Christmas advert for the brand, claimed to be the first in ten years, to be launched on a “digital platform”.
The online ad is said to be a continuation of the Irn-Bru ‘Gets You Through’ campaign which returned to screens earlier this year as part of AG Barr’s ongoing £6 million investment in promoting the brand in 2015.
Adrian Troy, head of marketing at AG Barr, said that the Irn-Bru snowman advert “has won a place in Scottish consumers’ hearts” and that the firm expects the brand “to be in high demand this Christmas”.
