The Abington Hotel in Biggar is being sold by Duncan and Susan MacBride who are retiring; new owner Darren Hill will take the helm on Friday, October 30.
Hill, who is from London and owns a coach hire company, aims to build on the 30-bedroom hotel’s existing coach tour business.
Duncan MacBride said: “It is a logical step in the right direction that Darren, through his travel trade connections, can promote his own tours and base these tours at the Abington Hotel.”
