Aberdeenshire resort set for refurb

Meldrum House Country Hotel & Golf Course has unveiled plans for a new £4.5 million extension.
The investment will see the Aberdeenshire resort gain an additional 28 bedrooms, bringing the hotel’s total to 51, as well as a new conference and banqueting suite.

The development is scheduled for completion in June 2016 and, once finished, is expected to create 15 new jobs, bringing the total number of staff employed at the hotel to over 100.
Andy Burgess, chief executive of Meldrum House, said the development will be “marketed to new visitors from all over the world as well as create new jobs and major benefits to the local economy”.
“[The development] will provide us with the ability to offer three conference rooms, more than double our bedroom capacity as well as providing a banqueting suite with capacity for up to 200 people,” he said.
