The King Street outlet, which is close to Aberdeen University, has been given a £350,000 revamp by owner Stonegate Pub Company ahead of the new university term. The new-look Bobbin has two giant drop-down screens and 14 televisions, linked to Sky and BT Sport; the pub also offers board games, table football and pool.

The revamped menu includes burritos and burgers as well as vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes, while The Bobbin’s drinks range includes five craft beers, four cask ales and a traditional still cider on tap.
