Cider celebrates sound of music

Irish cider brand Magners has its sights set on Edinburgh as its Summer Nights festival moves to the Scottish capital.

The event has already seen a series of concerts take place in Glasgow, with artists including Echo & The Bunnymen, King Creosote and Joan Armatrading performing at the city’s Kelvingrove Bandstand.

The Edinburgh line-up will include James, The Flaming Lips and The Waterboys, who will all take to the stage at the capital’s Ross Bandstand.

As with the Glasgow performances, the Edinburgh shows will feature the Magners Village, where visitors can buy a range of street food.

The event is being promoted by the Magners ‘6Stringer’ guitar, a sculpture fashioned from more than 800 empty Magners cans, which is touring Edinburgh.
