Catering to the luxuriant

A LUXURY staycation, vouchers, speakers and headphones are among the prizes up for grabs in a major new promotion from Magners.

Described as the brand’s largest-ever trade promotion, the initiative – which launches this month – offers cider fans the chance to win a range of prizes that includes a stay for ten people at a luxury villa, where guests are catered for by a private chef.

In the on-trade, the promotion will see branded point of sale kits distributed to venues. Customers can participate in the competition by scanning a QR code and uploading a picture of their recently-purchased Magners drink.

They will then immediately be informed whether or not they have won one of the secondary prizes as well as automatically being entered into the prize draw for the luxury weekend grand prize.

There will also be a separate giveaway for staff at participating venues, which will include music prizes.

The campaign will run until September, when the winner of the luxury staycation will be announced.

“Summer is a busy time with people looking to enjoy a refreshing pint of cider when out and about and we’re looking forward to giving people even more reason to celebrate the season with their favourite cider through our new giveaway,” said Magners senior marketing manager, Iain Telford.

“As the weather starts to improve, there’s a noticeable buzz in the air with people planning to catch up with friends and family after two summers disrupted by restrictions and our new promotion gives venues an added reward to offer their customers.”
