Chance to swoop on city bistro

OPERATORS keen to move in on Glasgow’s west end might be interested in premises which have come onto the books of Smith & Clough.

Pelican

The agent is marketing the Pelican bar and bistro, opposite Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, at offers over £120,000 for the leasehold interest with rental offers in excess of £35,000 per annum.

Established in 2010, the Pelican was refurbished in 2014 to create its current “stylish and relaxed” look.

Smith & Clough director Jonathan Clough said there is scope to expand the 74-cover premises with the addition of a 25-cover mezzanine.

“The business is performing well however offers huge growth potential given the exciting ongoing development in the immediate area, along with the mezzanine potential to increase the capacity,” he said.
