Alastair Campbell has been appointed managing director of Tennent Caledonian Breweries (TCB).
Campbell, the former group company director and global brand director of youth travel company Contiki Holidays, has joined the business following the announcement that chief executive Brian Calder is tostep down in mid-July.
Calder, the former boss of wholesaler Wallaces Express, took the helm of TCB at the end of March 2014 following TCB owner C&C Group’s acquisition of Wallaces Express; Calder’s departure follows the integration of the two businesses.
Speaking after his appointment, Campbell said: “I’m thrilled to take up the MD role with such an iconic Scottish business.
“Two of my career passions are building strong commercial relationships and driving business growth. I look forward to bringing these skills and working with the team to shape the latest successful chapter in the history of the Tennent’s business in supporting our customers across Scotland.”
