Gin brand under starter’s orders

Posted on by in Featured

EDINBURGH Gin will be at the races for the next three years as part of a sponsorship deal between brand owner Spencerfield Spirit Company and Musselburgh Racecourse in East Lothian.

The deal will see bottles of Edinburgh Gin provided as prizes for racehorse trainers; the gin brand will also sponsor the Jockey and Trainer Championships for both flat and jump seasons.

Edinburgh Gin will also be served as the “certified gin” throughout the year at the racecourse’s Pommery Champagne Bar as well as the Owners and Trainers Bar.

Alex Nicol, managing director of the Spencerfield Spirit Company, said: “With an annual race-going audience in excess of 70,000 and an average of 27 race meetings, we will certainly be reaching a sizeable audience who we hope love the product.”
