DOGS were the stars of the show at a recent weekend of events held in Whitecraig bar and restaurant the Mercat Grill.

The venue hosted a number of fundraising activities between April 23 and 25 in a bid to raise money for the Edinburgh Dog & Cat Home.
East Coast FM broadcasted live from the event, which included prizes for ‘best dressed dog’ and ‘prettiest pooch’ as well as a quiz night, ‘doggy dinner’ and coffee morning.
More than a hundred dog lovers are said to have visited the Mercat Grill in the course of the weekend, with £800 raised for the Edinburgh Dog & Cat Home.
