GERMAN Pilsner Krombacher Pils has been voted the highest quality beer brand in a survey of German consumers.
The research, conducted by German firm Deutschland Test, quizzed consumers on 500 brands across 25 different industries.
Around 250,000 German consumers are said to have taken part in the survey.
Stephan Kofler of Krombacher said the brewer was “delighted that Krombacher has been voted the highest quality brand of beer”.
“Germany and the UK are very similar in the way that consumers are placing more and more value in environmental ethics and the ‘clean’ brewing of beers,” said Kofler.
Six Krombacher brews, including Pils, are currently distributed in the UK.
