A CO-OPERATIVE of Scottish distillers has been awarded £10,000 from Co-operative Development Scotland (CDS) to help establish and grow their businesses.
Scottish Craft Distillers, an association of over a dozen small batch distillers, including the Strathearn Distillery, Dunnet Bay Distillers, Eden Mill, Summerhall and The Glasgow Distillery, topped the marketing category to take away the CDS collaboration prize.
The distilling co-operative is said to be preparing to pool member resources to create a marketing strategy which will allow them to promote their products world-wide.
Tony Reeman-Clark, chairman of Scottish Craft Distillers, said the co-operative was “thrilled” to win the prize.
“Thanks to the prize we will be able to accelerate our efforts,” he said.
