GLASGOW’s Garage nightclub turned 21 last week and marked the occasion with a Roald Dahl-themed birthday party.
The 1800-capacity Sauchiehall Street venue was decorated with giant sweets, candy canes and ‘Wonka Bars’ to tie in with Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, while owner Donald MacLeod was Willy Wonka for the night.
The party on Friday (February 27) came after MacLeod unveiled a ‘wall of fame’ featuring the names of the 1400 music acts that have played at the Garage over the past 21 years.
MacLeod told SLTN: “It was a brilliant night and the place looked spectacular, which was all down to the team’s hard work.
“The Garage has outlasted some of the biggest names and it’s still going strong.”
