Eatery in the spirit of giving


EDINBURGH restaurant Steak got into the festive spirit last month when it hosted its annual Christmas lunch for the city’s homeless.
The eatery teamed with local charities and suppliers to provide the three-course meal on Christmas Eve, which included turkey with all the trimmings and Christmas pudding.
“We have the restaurant, location, staff, chefs and food and we couldn’t think of a better way to work together on Christmas Eve,” said executive chef Jason Wright.
Lord provost Donald Wilson said the initiative, which is now in its third year, was “a fantastic way for Edinburgh to give something back”.
