RTD brand WKD has taken on the role of secret Santa this month as part of a campaign to promote the brand over the festive period.
Social media followers of the brand are being invited to “Gift Tag A Mate” by ‘tagging’ a friend on social media who will be entered into a prize draw with each winner receiving either a surprise gift or a bag of Brussels sprouts.
Consumers are also being given the opportunity to win WKD prizes for themselves as part of a separate outdoor advertising campaign running through December.
On Saturday nights throughout this month in cities across the UK, WKD-branded projections will appear in locations near local nightlife instructing consumers to “tweet a pic of this sign” for “#WKDSurprises”.
Selected winners will receive prizes.
Debs Carter, marketing director for alcohol at SHS Drinks, the firm behind WKD, said the brand “is all about having fun with friends” and that the two Christmas campaigns “will generate chat amongst mates – both online and on nights out”.
The WKD social media and outdoor advertising campaigns follow the launch of the RTD brand’s novelty hat promotion.
The promotion sees SHS Drinks offering sprout-shaped festive headgear to consumers through a scratch card promotion.
