Marco serves up advice

Marco Pierre White

MARCO Pierre White recently served up some career advice to catering students at his new Glasgow restaurant.
The City of Glasgow College students spent an hour with the top chef and received advice about succeeding in the catering industry.
Pierre White said: “Don’t waste opportunities – if you have a dream make it happen.
“Only you can do that. You need to stay focused and disciplined – and you also need a bit of luck.
“You don’t get many chances in life, so you need to make the most of every opportunity and, when you have a bit of luck, take it.”
The students met the chef at his Steakhouse Bar & Grill in Glasgow.
Denis MacCann, general manager at Hotel Indigo, which houses the restaurant, said: “I’m sure many of the students were inspired by his advice and, who knows, perhaps a future celebrity chef was amongst them?”
